Wool fibre is an entirely natural, renewable and sustainable product.

Superior Insulation and Resilience

The composition of wool fibre allows it to trap air effectively which insulates the body. Wool’s natural crimp and bulk also gives it excellent elastic recovery properties, making it a highly resilient and durable bedding material.

Non allergenic

Wool is naturally resistant to mould and mildew as it does not retain moisture in its fibres. Without moisture, dust mites and other allergens find it difficult to get established in wool bedding.

Flame Resistant

Wool has natural flame resistant properties. It is difficult to ignite and slow to burn, making it safe bedding material, especially for children.

Climate Control and Comfort

Wool helps regulate body temperature because it is an absorbent fibre. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. When the air is cool and damp, wool absorbs moisture and keeps a layer of dry, insulating air next to the skin.  When it’s warm, wool’s absorption capacity is used to wick away perspiration from the skin to keep the body cool and dry. Wool’s ability to regulate sleeping temperature means that the sleeper will be warm in winter and cool in summer. Wool is also breathable which means that any moisture absorbed is released into the atmosphere to keep the sleeper warm, dry and comfortable throughout the night.
